--> 以上幾篇新聞，都是有關一家名為 Montalvo 的公司設計出在同一個晶粒上可同時執行高速運行核心和低速運行核心的 x86 處理器，宣稱這樣能更省電。報導指出它很類似 IBM Cell 的運作方式。這種做法是所謂的非同步核心 (asymmetrical cores)，和目前 Intel/AMD 的作法是不一樣的。該公司的目標是將其應用在行動裝置或筆電上。

--> 差點快忘了還有 S3 這家繪圖晶片公司的存在...  看公司簡介(http://www.s3graphics.com/en/company/index.jsp)，目前是 VIA 的 joint ventrure 公司之一。
想當初 S3 也是繪圖晶片市場群雄之一，現在出新產品才有聲音，真是十年河東十年河西。
心血來潮去查了另一家 Trident，官網上介紹 (http://www.trident.com.tw/about.asp) 說是「以LCD TV、Plasma TV、Rear Projection TV、Advanced TV為主軸的消費性電子產品之全球主要視訊及影像數位處理的領導晶片供應商之一」，更是讓我懷念起以前 PC 繪圖晶片市場群雄爭霸的年代啊。
